Common Level 22 Mistakes to Avoid
The no-touch pinch point
Cats in rows 2 and 3 land only 2 columns apart (columns 7 and 5), the narrowest gap on the board. Double-check the diagonal between them before you commit — a single column off here and the two cats would illegally touch.
Don't commit early in the amber region
The amber region is the roomiest (12 cells), so it tempts you into guessing. Resist it — fill the smaller regions first and the amber cat is squeezed into a single legal square on its own.
Don't skip the tightest region
No cat sits in a corner here, so the safest anchor is the emerald region — with only 1 open cell (row 1, column 2) it is the most forced square on the board. Players who start in a roomier region tend to stall.

Eliminate, then chain
