Here is the full 9×9 solution to Level 30, solved region by region. Start where the board is tightest — the red region (row 6, column 3) — and the eliminations chain through to the indigo region, one cat per row, column, and color region with no two ever touching. Pure logic, no luck. (Your own Level 30 board may look different; the same method still works.)

Common Level 30 Mistakes to Avoid
The no-touch pinch point
The tightest spot on this board is rows 7 and 8: their cats sit just 2 columns apart (columns 8 and 6). This is exactly where the "no two cats touch, even diagonally" rule is easiest to break — keep one square of clearance on every side.
Don't commit early in the indigo region
Early on, almost any indigo square looks legal — that's the trap of a 19-cell region. Work everywhere else first: each cat you place elsewhere deletes indigo options, and the last square standing is the answer.
Anchor at the bottom-right corner
The emerald region's cat is pinned to the bottom-right corner (row 9, column 9). Corners have the fewest neighbors, so this is your safest opening anchor — misread it and the error spreads across the whole board.
How to Solve Level 30 Faster
First move: the red region
The fastest opening is the red region at row 6, column 3 — the most constrained region, so its cat is locked before anything else moves.
Chain the forced moves
The board solves itself if you bookkeep: after every cat, cross off its row, column, region, and ring of eight neighbors. Done in order, green collapses next, amber follows, and no later region ever offers more than one legal cell.
Finish in the open region
Don't spend time on the indigo region early — it's the board's release valve. When the other regions have claimed their rows and columns, row 8, column 6 is the only square it has left, and the level closes itself.
