Common Level 60 Mistakes to Avoid
Watch the closest pair
The tightest spot on this board is rows 3 and 4: their cats sit just 2 columns apart (columns 2 and 4). This is exactly where the "no two cats touch, even diagonally" rule is easiest to break — keep one square of clearance on every side.
Leave the biggest region for last
With 16 open cells, the amber region looks wide open early on. Don't place there by feel; once the other rows and columns are claimed it collapses to exactly one spot, no guess required.
Lock the corner first
The red region's cat is pinned to the top-right corner (row 1, column 9). Corners have the fewest neighbors, so this is your safest opening anchor — misread it and the error spreads across the whole board.
