Meowdoku is a cat-placement logic puzzle inspired by Sudoku. Pick a difficulty and start solving — every board is freshly generated, with a single solution you can reach through pure logic.

Board size is what drives the challenge — every extra step up adds a row, a column, a region, and one more cat to fit in.
Easy
6×6A gentle six-by-six board with six cats to place. With fewer rows, columns, and regions to track, it's the best place to learn the rules or warm up. Most players finish in a minute or two.
Normal
7×7Seven cats on a seven-by-seven grid. There's more space for the no-touching rule to create tricky chains, so you'll lean on elimination rather than one obvious move. A satisfying everyday challenge.
Hard
8×8Eight cats on a roomy eight-by-eight board. With more regions overlapping more rows and columns, you'll often chain several deductions before the first cat is certain. Built for a real workout.
How endless mode works
Endless mode is built for unlimited, pressure-free play. There's no level list to finish and nothing to unlock — just one fresh puzzle after another, for as long as you want.
- • Every board is generated on the spot, so you'll almost never see the same puzzle twice.
- • Each one is verified to have a single solution reachable by logic alone — no guessing required.
- • Play as much as you like. It is completely free, with no account and no download.
- • Your best time is saved per difficulty, so you always have a record to beat.
Tips to solve Meowdoku faster
- 1.Open with the most constrained line. Find the row, column, or region with the fewest empty cells and start there — certainty always beats guessing.
- 2.Mark relentlessly. Each time you place a cat, ✕ out its row, column, region, and all eight neighbors. A board full of ✕ marks makes the next move obvious.
- 3.Hunt for "last cell" spots. Whenever a region, row, or column has a single open cell, that cell is a guaranteed cat — and these often cascade into more.
- 4.Build speed on Easy, then climb. Practicing the patterns on 6×6 makes 7×7 and 8×8 feel familiar; muscle memory for the no-touch rule is what cuts your time.
Meowdoku endless mode FAQ
Quick answers about endless mode — how puzzles are generated, whether they repeat, and how to switch difficulty.
Are the puzzles random?+
Yes. Each board in endless mode is generated fresh from a random seed, so you get a new layout almost every time you press New puzzle.
Will I ever get the same puzzle twice?+
It's extremely unlikely. With countless possible cat arrangements and region shapes, repeats are virtually impossible during normal play.
Is every puzzle solvable?+
Always. Every board is checked to have exactly one solution that can be reached through pure logic, so you never need to guess your way out.
Can I change difficulty mid-game?+
Yes. Switch between Easy, Normal, and Hard at any time and a fresh board for that level loads right away.
Does my best time get saved?+
Yes. Your fastest solve for each difficulty is stored in your browser, so your record is waiting for you the next time you play.
